What you get when you choose Leinster Bathrooms & Stairlifts
Handicare 2000 Simplicity
The Handicare 2000 simplicity curved stairlift is the cost-effective choice for staircases with a landing or bend. The 2000 features the tightest track bends in the industry today as each stairlift is custom built based on your stairs design to ensure it fits snugly against your wall, to maximise your staircase’s remaining capacity. If space at the bottom of the staircase is a concern, or the stairlift is blocking a door or hall, an optional Powered Hinge Rail can be added that lifts and folds the track away when not in use.
Handicare 2000 Style
The Handicare 2000 Style combines the functionality and reliability of the 2000 curved track system with additional powered features that fold the footplate after use and swivel the seat to enhance ease of exit. The Handicare 2000 Style also offers a choice of 6 seat colours and 3 rail colours as standard. For an additional charge, you can choose any rail colour to seamlessly blend with your décor. The 2000 Style also features optional upgrades including a perch seat and powered swivel.
Handicare Freecurve
The Handicare Freecurve is the perfect stairlift solution for a spiral, narrow or steep staircase with limited space. The Freecurve can overcome the toughest staircase challenges while looking great in your home. Custom built to fit your staircase, this unique and elegant single-track stairlift features 3 different seat styles available in 3 colours, and the rail is also available in 3 colours to ensure it matches virtually any home décor. The Freecurve can either follow the path of the internal bend or outside bend of the staircase.
Curved stairlifts for heavier users
The Handicare 2000 Simplicity & Handicare 2000 Style are available with a heavy-duty kit that can cater to weight capacities of up to 137kg (21.5st.). This upgrade is ideal for commercial applications and users with larger frames. Powered swivel
All of our stairlifts come with a manual swivel seat as standard. If you choose the powered swivel option the seat swivel is operated by continuing to hold the toggle or joystick when you arrive at the top of the staircase. The seat will move automatically while the toggle / joystick is activated.
Available on the Handicare 2000 Style & Freecurve models
Powered footplate
All of our stairlifts come with a manual folding footplate as standard. If you choose the powered footplate option it will remove the need for you to bend down to fold or unfold the footplate. You can choose to have a footplate that folds automatically when the seat is folded and unfolded, or that is operated separately to the seat by a switch in the seat arm.
Available on the Handicare 2000 Simplicity, 2000 Style & Freecurve models
Powered hinge
The Handicare 1000 stairlift can also be supplied with an automatic hinged track which means when operating the stairlift from the toggle, the hinge will lift/lower automatically. This removes the need to bend down when lifting or lowering the rail.
Available on the Handicare 2000 Simplicity, 2000 Style & Freecurve models
Zero intrusion kit
The footplate of your stairlift will finish equal to the top or bottom of the stairs. There’s no need to step off the footplate, all you need to do is swivelling your seat, making it easy to get safely on the landing. Zero intrusion eliminates the rail overrun, allowing you to install a Handicare 1100 stairlift with no modifications made to your home.
Available on the Handicare 2000 Simplicity, 2000 Style & Freecurve models
Powered hinge
Turn and Go has been specially developed to allow for the installation of stairlifts on even the narrowest of staircases. Once seated, the seat will turn automatically so the customer’s back faces the stairs during travel – not the wall or handrail – to eliminate the risk of colliding with the wall or bannister.
Available on the Handicare Freecurve models
Powered hinge
This unique and patented development provides assistance for those users who would like some additional support when getting on or off the stairlift. It can also provide a greater sense of security when sitting down as the seat can be felt directly behind you.
Available on the Handicare Freecurve models
Drop nose kit
In some circumstances, our single tube curved track can offer an alternative to a hinged track. If your staircase is compatible, a drop nose track can be installed which means the track will finish closer to the stairs than with a standard finish thereby removing the need for a hinged track
Available on the Handicare Freecurve models

How we get the tightest bends!
As part of our service, when you contact us about a curved stairlift, we visit your home to conduct a free no-obligation home survey. During this visit, our stairlift specialist together with the client, examines which stairlift is most suitable and the stairs are measured. We measure the stairs using the latest cutting edge measurement technology that is exclusive to Handicare, called the 4D PhotoSurvey.
This specialist software measures your staircase, assessing what type of rail it will require and if any preparatory work (such as an extra power point) is required. The software we use creates a 3D model of the staircase and the stairlift track, allowing you to see what the stairlift will look like. When this is complete, we then discuss the various stairlift options available.
